Grain Marketing Advisor / Broker
Banghart Properties will act as a grain marketing advisor and/or broker. Cash grain marketing and negotiation in basis with spread understanding. Cash trading straight to end-users, trading companies, processors, and elevator’s: sunflowers, millet, milo, soybeans, corn, winter wheat, spring wheat, pool selling power/elevator margin knowledge, leverage of spread and trade info.
Assisting the farmer with the development of a grain marketing plan individualized to his/her operation and comfort level.
Principal
We will purchase your grain and take ownership. In times where we see opportunity, we will use arbitrage to save our customers freight or use this strategy to fulfill a contract we may have.
Types of contracts we have;
Purchase Contract.
This contract is for a specified quantity & quality of grain for a specified delivery time, with the price of contract set at the time the contract is made for the specific delivery time. Title of the grain is passed to Banghart Properties once the grain is unloaded at the elevator. This is the most widely used method of marketing grain.
Act of God Contract
These contracts are typically for specialty crops such as millet and safflower where there is no futures market. They require reporting of field legal locations and acres planted. The contract typically contracts the first “X” pounds per acre. For example: 500 acres at 500 pounds per acre would be a 250,000 pound contract at the contract price. The contracts contain an “Act of God” clause should the crop be wiped out for any reason.
